Enter Entourage in the Search Window. Note the location of the file. If Entourage is not present in Macintosh HD\Application\Microsoft Office 2008 folder, then simply select the icon of Entourage and drag it to Desktop. If Entourage is already inOffice 2008 folder, then it is fine.

Use default settings to restore the Entourage preferences file.
Renaming the MicrosoftUserData folder will also solve the problem. For doing this, follow the below steps:

Close all applications.
Select Go, and then select Documents.
Click the Microsoft User Data folder, and then use an ENTER from your keyboard.
Use DownArrow key from your keyboard. Enter OLD and then again use an ENTER key.
Now you should have Microsoft User Data Old folder with you.
Again, start your system.
At last, try to Start Entourage.
